Holly A. Fisher is the founder and CEO of Fisher Creative LLC, a marketing communications company in Mount Pleasant. The Fisher Creative team handles social media marketing and public relations for several Charleston area nonprofits and small businesses, including the Charleston Parks Conservancy, Lowcountry AIDS Services, The Footlight Players, Fruit That Lasts, Moranz Entertainment, Charleston Orthodontic Specialists and many more.
Holly started her career as a newspaper reporter and continues to write articles for several publications, including The Post and Courier, Health Links, Lowcountry Parent, Lowcountry Paws, Charleston Living, Charleston Business magazine, Charleston Regional Business Journal and AARP Bulletin. Holly is also the editor of Traveler of Charleston, a quarterly visitor magazine.
Holly was honored with a Forty Under 40 Award from the Charleston Regional Business Journal in 2011. She has won two Spark! Awards from the Charleston American Marketing Association for corporate blogging and managing the Lowcountry AIDS Services Twitter presence. In 2017, she was one of 11 finalists in a Mother's Day essay contest hosted by Skirt! magazine.
Holly has a master of mass communication from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University. She’s a long-time member of the Society of Professional Journalists, a member of the Center for Women, Lowcountry Local First, Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and a former board president for the Charleston Chapter of the American Marketing Association. She’s also an active volunteer and former board president with Postpartum Support Charleston.
Holly and her husband have one daughter and two dogs, a yellow Lab and a Yorkie. When she’s not working, Holly’s probably doing CrossFit in the garage with her husband, drinking coffee or driving her 2016 Dodge Challenger (fast).

Amanda Bunting Comen is an account manager at Fisher Creative LLC. She is a Charlestonian and proud to call this city home. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and minored in women’s studies at the College of Charleston. She has been a nonprofit professional since, focusing heavily on social media and website development.
Amanda is a 2006 graduate of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charleston program and a winner of the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Awards in 2008. She has served on numerous committees and boards in the community over the years. Currently she is the immediate past chair of the Women and Gender Studies Community Advisory Board at the College of Charleston and the membership manager on the Ellevate Charleston board.
Her husband, Kyle, owns and operates the local bait shop, South Side Bait and Tackle, on Savannah Highway. They enjoy all their free time with their baseball-loving son, Harrison, two dogs, Shelbie and Brody, and cat Sookie.
Melissa Nelson is an account manager at Fisher Creative. With more than 18 years of experience working in the communications field, Melissa has experience in the government, public, and nonprofit sectors. She also manages the Chicago-based Platt Retail Institute’s strategic marketing, communications programs and publications.
Before joining Fisher Creative, Melissa Nelson was director of marketing communications at Historic Charleston Foundation. She was responsible for creating and implementing a plan of strategic external communications to provide a consistent and cohesive message as well as managing community outreach, public relations and education initiatives
Prior to joining the Historic Charleston Foundation team in January 2011, Melissa was the media production and outreach manager at Blackbaud where she managed everything from video production and editing, to advertising, public relations and writing. Before moving to Charleston, Nelson was a media relations specialist at the United States Postal Service headquarters in Washington, D.C. She also worked at an ABC broadcast affiliate in various roles, including the assignment desk.
Nelson holds an undergraduate degree with a dual focus in corporate communications and in broadcast communications from Elon University as well as a graduate degree in strategic communications and leadership from Seton Hall University.
Bailey Laskowski is an intern with Fisher Creative LLC. She is blogging and working on social media content for Traveler of Charleston along with other marketing tasks. Bailey is studying communication and marketing in her senior year at the College of Charleston.
She is from South Bend, Indiana, naturally making her a Notre Dame fan. She spends her spare time at the beach or doing yoga. Bailey is a teaching assistant at the College of Charleston for a beginning yoga class. She recently had the opportunity to intern with NASA during its solar eclipse production - an experience she will never forget.
Bailey loves writing and hopes to work in public relations or event management at some point in her career. Bailey is currently working with the Charleston Food & Wine Festival and just started working at Charleston’s first cat cafe, Pounce. She looks forward to the opportunities ahead of her.
